  • In Peru, congenital malformations are one of the main causes of death in newborn children.
  • Each year, more than 2,000 children are diagnosed with cancer. 70% of them arrive at a late diagnosis.
  • Chronic malnutrition affects more than 23% of children in the Andes under 3 years old.
  • More than half of children under 3 living in rural areas suffer from anemia.
  • And yet, 90% of specialized pediatric and childhood cancer treatments are provided only in the capital city of Lima.

As its symbolic work and first deliverable to humanity, VIDAWASI inaugurated Latin America’s First Child’s Health Citadel called "Virgin of VIDAWASI," located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, CUSCO – PERU.
